Privacy Policy
Scriptly is a writing app made by Offfwhite design. We built it to be a calm, private place to write — and that includes how we handle your data. The short version: we don't collect it.
What we collect
Nothing. Scriptly does not collect, transmit, or store any personal information about you on our servers. There is no account to create, no email to provide, and no telemetry sent back to us.
Where your scripts live
Your scripts are stored locally on your device. If you turn on iCloud Sync inside Scriptly, your scripts are also stored in your private iCloud account so they can sync between your Mac, iPad, and iPhone.
iCloud is provided by Apple. Apple encrypts your iCloud data in transit and at rest, and Apple — not Offfwhite design — controls access to it. We have no way to read, copy, or recover your scripts. If you sign out of iCloud or delete the app, your scripts go with it.
Analytics and tracking
Scriptly contains no third-party analytics, advertising, tracking pixels, or fingerprinting. We do not integrate with Google Analytics, Mixpanel, Segment, Facebook, or any similar service.
Apple may collect anonymous, aggregated usage statistics through the App Store and through your device's standard analytics setting (Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements). Anything Apple collects there is governed by Apple's privacy policy and you can opt out at any time on your device.
Crash reports
If Scriptly crashes and you have crash sharing enabled in iOS or macOS, Apple may send us an anonymized crash report through their standard developer tools. These reports contain technical information about the crash (such as the type of error and the version of Scriptly) and never include your scripts or any personal data.
Purchases
Scriptly is sold through the App Store. When you buy Scriptly, Apple handles the transaction and we receive only the information Apple chooses to share with developers — typically, an anonymous count of purchases. We never see your name, email, payment method, or address.
Children's privacy
Scriptly is suitable for general audiences and does not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children. Because we collect no personal information at all, we have no children's data to protect — but children should still use Scriptly with the supervision of a parent or guardian where appropriate.
Changes to this policy
If this policy ever changes, we'll update the "last updated" date at the top of this page and post the new version here. Material changes will be summarized in the app's release notes.
